KYRGYZSTAN
I travelled to Kyrgyzstan as part of a trip organised by travel guide and blogger Cynthia Bil in 2022. Our friendship grew throughout our time in the mountains and I now I write for her platform, Journal of Nomads. Below are some of my articles and film photographs and diary takes from my time hiking there.

UZBEKISTAN
I was sent to Uzbekistan in 2023 as part of Journal of Nomads' work to collaborate with Community-Based Tourism (CBT) groups. Responsible Travel is currently the only CBT group operating in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan radiates joy, both in its magnificent landscapes and its people. I hiked and horsetrekked across the Nuratau and the Chimgan mountains and stayed in village guesthouses. My warmest memories were gifted by the families I stayed with, who shared their stories and their way of life with me. My mountain guide, Sherali, also took excellent care of me and works so hard to champion his country’s nature.
Below are some of my articles and film photographs from the trip.
